Must Read – Significant Change in Camp Drop-Off Procedure

NEW CAMP PROCEDURE

Troop, we’re making a big change to how scouts are dropped off after a campout.

Beginning with Gold Rush Camp this weekend, all scouts attending camp will be dropped off at Chapman Elementary School after the campout has ended.  This is a change from previous campouts, where scouts were driven home. This new policy will streamline campouts because both camp departures and arrivals will be at Chapman Elementary School.

For this Sunday, we estimate that we will arrive at Chapman Elementary School at approximately 10:30 a.m. The arrival time is approximate because camps are youth-led exercises in leadership and teamwork, which don’t always go as planned.  To better share our arrival time with parents, we are also working on a method of broadcasting more accurate ETAs in the near future.

We appreciate your support as we adopt this new procedure.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
