Star Wars camp is this weekend, April 7-9, at Beaumont Scout Reservation. As usual we will depart Chapman Elementary at 7:01PM. Please arrive at 6:45PM. It’s going to be a fun camp and we’re excited to have the TIP Patrol camping solo with the Troop. For new campers (and their parents), please DO NOT let the weather discourage you. It’s very common for a mix of cold and wet weather to find us for April camp and it never stops the troop from having a great camp. Part of the Boy Scout program is successful planning and taking challenges head on. Here’s proof… if you are new to the troop, please read about last year’s April camp here. The photos say it all.

The link above covers how to pack for cold and wet camps, but it’s worth saying here that scouts are reminded that conditions will be wet and cold. Extra changes of clothes and comfortable waterproof boots are a must. Even though it’s April, hats and gloves should come to camp. Also, scouts will be carrying their lunch with them, so bringing a small daypack or drawstring backpack is suggested.
