Community Service Opportunity at the James A. Garfield National Historic Site

Hello Scouts and Families:

Every year the Garfield site puts on a Civil War Weekend. We host several dozen reenactors and have upwards of 1,500 visitors to the event, which this year falls on July 21-22. We are in need of help to park cars, help kids in our “Kids Camp” (crafts, activities), as well as help with set-up and take-down. The event runs 11am-4pm both Saturday and Sunday, but volunteer hours are flexible and we can add you to the schedule for all or part of the time.

Please consider assisting us in putting on this very large but rewarding event! Contact Mary Lintern (440-255-8722), Volunteer Coordinator, if you can help!

With gratitude,

Allison Powell
