Pirate Gold Rush Camp – September 21-23

Arrrr Matey!  The first camp of the year will be Pirate Gold Rush camp, scheduled for the weekend of September 21-23, at Camp Butler, in Peninsula, OH.  The cost for the weekend is $25, and sign-ups are available on Troop Web Host.  The PLC has been hard at work planning fun teamwork activities and games, where the patrols will compete to earn gold nuggets, which they can use during the Saturday night auction to bid on prizes!  So come out and show your patrol spirit, along with your pirate skills!

We will be meeting for camp at 6:45 p.m. on Friday, at Chapman Elementary school. This will be a tent camp, so please bring a ground tarp, along with the necessary gear and clothing for an autumn camp out.  Additionally, scouts are asked to bring any extra tarps they have, as well as a camp chair, as these items will be helpful for some of the activities.  Please make sure to put your name on your tarp, camp chair, and camp chair bag.

We are anticipating a return time to Chapman at around 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, but will post a message to our troop Twitter account (@Troop701Ohio) on Sunday morning with a more accurate arrival time.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
