Troop 701 Road Rally – Sunday, May 3rd, 10 AM – 5 PM

We will be having a road-rally scavenger hunt this Sunday, for all T-701 scouts and their families. Clue signs will be placed at various landmarks in Strongsville, Berea, and Olmsted Falls. At each location, snap a photo of your clue, or just of the sign itself, then type in the web link listed on the sign. This will take you to a web page with both a photo and a written clue to the next location.

The starting point will be Strongsville Commons, in front of the police station. The signs will be available from 10 AM to 5 PM on Sunday; however, you should be able to complete the full course in around 2 hours. We will meet on Zoom to swap stories and hear the winners at the start of the normal Sunday patrol meetings at 6 PM.

Families are encouraged to join their scouts on this event, but please follow all social distancing guidelines and other safe practices. Please do not form multi-family teams, and please drive responsibly when travelling between locations. Also, while the signs will be hidden from the road or parking area, they will be in the open and large enough to view from 6 feet away.

Note: Parents may want to bring a couple bucks on this trip, as there will be at least one opportunity for a small snack. You have been warned!

More detailed instructions will follow as the week progresses. C’mon, let’s get out of the house and take advantage of that cheap gas!

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
