Service Hours Options

Our ability to gather as a troop to complete service projects has been somewhat curtailed this year because of social distancing. In order to be awarded the Community Service Award, a Scout must log 12 service hours per year, and participate in at least four separate projects. While we love having our Scouts participate in troop projects and support their fellow Scouts during Eagle projects, every Scout has the option to have up to six of the required hours recognized from activities outside the troop.

The form that must be completed to request recognition of these outside service hours can be found here:

If your Scout is looking for places to get service hours, our Troop has had a very successful partnership with the Richfield Heritage Preserve (www.richfieldheritagepreserve.com). Plus, it’s a great place to see pictures of our Scouts who have chosen to complete their Eagle Projects at their park!
