Giving Tree Holiday Gift Drive

Many of the organizations that support families and children in need count on the spirit of those who give to one another each year, especially around the holidays. We are again looking at two organizations that you may have the option to provide towards their worthy cause. If you feel the heart of giving this holiday season to one or both organizations, that is wonderful news.

The first organization is Pathway Caring for Children, founded in 1973. They are excited about the upcoming holiday season! Thank you to Troop 701 in helping to ensure each Pathway foster child receives a present. The children will be told that someone special in our community was thinking of them!

Here are a few ways to brighten a child’s holiday!
1. Choose a gift, purchase, and ship using the following link:

www.myregistry.com/giftlist/pathwaycaringholidaylist

Gifts will be wrapped, and Pathway case managers will deliver to each foster child before Christmas.

2. Monetary donations to meet the specific needs of foster children:

Pathway’s dedicated staff are attentive to the unique needs of the children. You can help meet a child’s need and show them you believe in their potential!

If possible, please have gifts from the registry purchased by December 3. This date gives a buffer for shipping delays and time for volunteers to sort and wrap, and most importantly, for children to have a present to open on Christmas! Thank you for keeping Pathway children in mind this holiday season!

The second organization is the Key Club that started the Christmas Crusade 35 years ago in Brunswick OH, Medina County. The club is run by high school students that assist 80-100 less fortunate families within the community. They are collecting non-perishable foods, new and gently used coats, hats, gloves, boots and shoes. NEW UNWRAPPED TOYS as well as gently used toys for donations. They also are in need of paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and personal hygiene items.

Items for the Key Club will be collected by Jodi Sepesy (Caleb’s mom) on Tuesday, Nov. 30th. Jodi will then meet with the Club Advisor for delivery.

Thank you for helping the many families in need within our communities to make a happy holiday season for them.

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
