Troop 701 Welcomes You!
Ask a boy why he joined Troop 701 and you’ll get a simple answer: “Because I wanted to.”
Chartered through the Rotary Club of Strongsville and serving Strongsville, Ohio and neighboring communities, Troop 701 has been promising boys adventure, discovery and teamwork for 40 years. Boys join Troop 701 because it’s fun. And while 701 Scouts find fun and adventure in the outdoors, there is a core underlying purpose. Troop 701 is committed to the mission and vision of the Boy Scouts of America.

We are a youth-led Scouting program with an emphasis on personal growth, community service and leadership development. Scouts carry out an extremely active outdoor program that includes year-round monthly camping and an annual week-long summer campout at Heritage Scout Reservation. Every year we also offer high adventure treks to eligible Scouts who meet training and age requirements.

Along with character development and physical fitness, citizenship training is one of the three objectives of the Scouting program. One way that Troop 701 realizes the goal of citizenship training is community service. We strongly believe that each Scout has the obligation to give something back to the community in which he lives.
