Come out for the day or just a few hours. This workshop provides the opportunity for scouts to be tested on various rank requirements of his choice. There are many rank requirements that take quite a bit of time to get signed off on and there’s not always time at campouts to facilitate this. Two match fire, orienteering and identify wildlife are a few examples. With so many Troop 701 scouts seeking first class- this is a great opportunity! Remember, if your rank is Tenderfoot or 2nd Class, a scout can still learn and be tested on First-Class requirements.
Important: It’s up to the scout to come prepared with his advancement goal. The instructor team and adult leaders will be there for testing and signing off, not teaching and instruction.
He can be tested on things like; two-match fire, orienteering, first-aid, knots, useful camp gadgets, identify plant and wildlife and much much.
To attend you will need:
1. Sign up TODAY only
2. Study and come PREPARED with advancement skill(s) to be tested on
3. Bring warm clothes and a sack lunch
4. Bring scout manual and green book
5. If there is rain or snow in the forecast, bring both outdoor and indoor shoes.
The troop will have use of the heated cabin and hot chocolate will be provided.
