As you are aware, our Troop guidelines require that parents drive to or from camp at least twice per year for every scout in the program. We have benefited from the leaders who drive scouts every month, even though many do not have children in the program. Other parents volunteer to drive well in excess of the required two trips or drive both ways hauling the trailer.
Our Troop 701 bylaws state that a family not contributing to the driving requirement may be required to provide their own transportation to and from camp.
If you have not driven twice this year, we would request that you consider driving for June camp as we are currently taking advantage of the generosity of certain parents who pitch in for more than their fair share.
