Troop Service Opportunity – last call!

Troop 701 has been asked to support the annual city of Brunswick Soup and Chili Cook-off on Saturday, February 26 to raise awareness and funds in support of Pediatric Cancer Research at Cleveland Clinic Children’s. The event is being hosted by St. Ambrose Parish, who generously hosted the troop’s Leader Camp last August. The Soup and Chili Cook-off will honor Collin Nemet, a Brunswick resident and Saint Ambrose member whose young life was taken by cancer earlier this year.

More information on the event can be found at the link below.

Tickets for the event are also available for purchase using the above link. Anyone who purchases tickets will be able to try all of the chili entries and vote for the People’s Choice Award.

This event is a great service opportunity for our troop, as the Rotary Club is not able to host the Chili Open this year.

Our Scouts have been assigned shifts to help with cleanup during the event. St. Ambrose’s Scouts BSA Troop 513 is also working on cleanup during a separate shift.

Please signup on Troop WebHost to help at this worthwhile event. Adults are welcome to volunteer with their Scout, or may volunteer for the event separately (see Signup Genius link for non-scout volunteers). Thank you for supporting this worthwhile cause!
