Pirate Gold Rush Camp – September 9-11

Our first camp of the Scouting year is Pirate Gold Rush camp, scheduled for the weekend of September 9-11, at Manatoc Scout Reservation. We will be camping in the field by the pool, near the large parking lot in the back of the camp. Our traditional Gold Rush themed camps are always a bunch of fun, are filled with plenty of patrol spirit, and are a great way to start our camping season! The cost for camp is $25, and we are asking that you please sign up on TroopWebHost as soon as you can, as that will help us with our camp planning. Also, if you will be arriving to camp late or leaving early, please share those details in the comment field of your sign-up.

As per our Troop COVID Policy, we ask everyone to please perform some self-screening for illness before leaving for camp. If you are not feeling well, please stay home, so that you can get better!

We will be tent camping, so please pack for an early-fall campout. Scouts who are in a patrol will be sharing tents (two to three scouts per tent), while we are asking our staff scouts to bring their own tent. With this being a tent camp, please remember to bring a ground tarp to help keep our tents clean. Some important gear items each scout needs to bring should include:

-A few masks/face coverings-Clothing appropriate for the weather forecast-Any specific patrol gear/clothing (patrol t-shirt, bandanas, etc.)-Sunscreen and Bug Spray-A tent (for our staff scouts)-A ground tarp and pad-A headlamp or flashlight-Rain gear-Camp chair-A bandana-Your white or green advancement book (in a ziploc bag)-A filled water bottle-Patrol Leaders should bring their patrol flag and nugget container-LOTS of patrol spirit!

If you have any questions about camp, please reach out and let us know. We hope that all of you will be able to join us!
