Upcoming Merit Badge Opportunities

Throughout the year, multiple organizations (Lake Erie Council, Cleveland Metroparks, National Park Service) offer opportunities for Scouts to earn merit badges by attending classes and workshops. These are fun ways to earn various merit badges and learn more about different topics and subjects. Please see the attached flyer for information about upcoming opportunities for the rest of 2023 and how to sign up for them:

2023 Merit Badge Opportunities

Some of these classes fill up fast, so don’t wait too long to sign up. Please note that there may be merit badge requirements that need to be completed before the workshop and brought with you in order to complete the badge. Also, you may need to bring a merit badge blue card with you to some of these classes. If you need a blue card, please see our Advancement Chair, Mr. Jorge Robinson. Lastly, we ask that you do not sign up for any First Aid merit badge workshops, as we run a yearly troop-class for that badge.

Thank you so much to Cori Mesenger for creating the flyer! We hope our Scouts find some fun merit badge classes to take and learn a bunch of cool skills!

For 40 years, boys have joined Troop 701 of Strongsville, Ohio for one simple reason: "Because they wanted to." Together on the Scouting trail to Eagle they experience adventure, discovery and teamwork.
