Troop Service Project, Saturday May 26th

Our annual flag service project is this weekend.

For first year scouts of the troop, this is your first significant service project with the troop and one that is very meaningful.. and..it  puts you well on your way towards the Troop 701 Service Award. Remember that the Troop 701 Service Award is earned by completing in a Scouting Year 12 Hours of Community Service across a minimum of at least 4 service projects. Many scouts need service hours for scout ranks as well – this counts!

About the May 26th Memorial Day  Weekend Service Project:

Raise flags on the town square and then place flags on veteran graves in the Strongsville cemetery.

We will meet on the square this Saturday at 9am for the Kiwanis Flags on the Square project.  It is then followed immediately by the VFW Flags Project where we be placing flags on the graves of Veterans in the Strongsville Cemetery next to the Strongsville Food Bank. We will walk directly from town square to the cemetery. The service projects should last approximately 2-3 hours. Class B Uniform is required.  Class B means troop t-shirt and scout pants or scout shorts, along with scout socks.

All scouts – please bring water bottles and dress with the weather in mind! Do not be unprepared for this event.

To sign up, please go to TroopWebHost where you can find the service event listing.
