Eagle Scout Honor Roll

Eagle Scout Badge

The Eagle Scout is the highest rank attainable in the Scouts BSA program. Requirements include earning at least 21 merit badges and demonstrating Scout Spirit through the Scout Oath and Law, service, and leadership. This includes an extensive service project that the Scout plans, organizes, leads, and manages. Eagle Scouts are presented with a medal and a badge that visibly recognizes the accomplishments of the Scout. The title of Eagle Scout is held for life, thus giving rise to the phrase: “Once an Eagle, always an Eagle.”

The fact that a person is an Eagle Scout has always carried with it a special significance, not only in Scouting but also as the individual enters higher education, business or industry, and community service. The award is a performance-based achievement whose standards have been well-maintained over the years. Not every youth who joins a Scouts BSA Troop earns the Eagle Scout rank; only about 5.7 percent do so. Nevertheless, the goals of Scouting—citizenship and leadership training, character development, and personal fitness—remain important for all Scouts, whether or not they attain the Eagle Scout rank.

We are proud of our Eagle Scouts! The following Troop 701 Eagle Scout Honor Roll lists the names of the men who have earned the rank of Eagle Scout while in the Troop:
