A big thank you to everyone who made Summer Camp such a spectacular success! Our scouts earned over 150 merit badges, completed over 10 rank advancements, dominated the water with 10 mile swimmers, won the Liberty Cup for the best patrol in camp (great job Rubber Ducky patrol!), and showed all of Camp Liberty how amazing Troop 701 is! All of you represented yourselves, Troop 701, and scouting in a very positive way through your constant and dedicated display of the Scout Oath and Law all week. A special thank you goes out to our youth leaders for all of your positive spirit and hard work throughout the week! And an extra special thank you goes out to our Adult Leaders who donated their personal time to help provide our scouts with this great opportunity. We are so very proud of everyone who joined us at camp, and we are already looking forward to returning to Camp Liberty next summer!
At this point in the summer, our troop takes a little bit of a break from weekly meetings and activities to allow our youth leaders time to plan the next scouting year. However, please keep reading the Message of the Week every week for important details about our program and upcoming activities. For example, this week’s message has our camping dates for the 2022-23 scouting year, along with information about some opportunities to provide service to others.
