We hope you and your scout are planning to join us for Troop 701’s Reunion and 45th Anniversary Celebration on Sunday, August 4, from 1-5pm at the West Side Irish American Club (8559 Jennings Road in Olmsted Township). The troop hosts a reunion every five years for all current and former scouts, families, and leaders. This is a great opportunity to join your fellow scouting families, learn about the troop’s history, and interact with legacy members (who have great stories to tell – maybe about some of our current leaders!).
For your scout, this can be a great opportunity to see where their scouting journey may lead. Troop 701’s former members have taken many career paths and followed many different personal interests that may inspire your scout on their road ahead.
Whether you can join us or not (although we hope you can!), we are asking for the help of all current 701 members and families. The troop’s tradition is to ask current families to help with light refreshments for the afternoon, and we could definitely use your help to make our alumni guests feel welcome.
