We are looking for a new parent to volunteer as the troop’s Yard Charge Coordinator. Yard Charge is our annual program held in November where we organize leaf clean-up for Strongsville citizens in need of this service.
Here is description of the position’s duties:
- Act as the central point of communication for volunteers and seniors, which includes soliciting and coordinating volunteers and receiving calls from seniors and entering them into and maintaining the raking database.
- Coordinate community awareness – contact Strongsville Post for an article.
- Design and order event patches.
- Solicit donations for volunteer “thank you,” usually a food coupon.
- Make yard assignments and communicate them to the volunteers.
