Our meeting on February 4th will be held at The Chalet tobogganing chutes in the Cleveland Metroparks! Please join us for a fun evening of thrilling toboggan rides down the tallest and fastest chutes in Ohio! We have The Chalet facility and chutes reserved for our troop from 6:00-9:00 PM. The cost to ride the toboggans is $12 per person, which provides unlimited rides during the three-hour period. You can pay with cash or a check on the day of the event, or we can deduct the cost from your Scout account (if you have the needed balance in the account to cover the cost).
Since our reservation is for 100 riders, family members (parents, siblings, etc.) and friends of our Scouts are welcome and encouraged to attend as well! Bringing a friend to a Scouting event is a First Class rank requirement; plus, any Scout who brings a friend will receive a “snack bonus” at March Camp!
The troop will be providing hot chocolate for everyone. If anyone wants to bring any cookies or snacks to share, you are welcome to do so.
If you don’t want to ride the toboggans, you are still welcome to attend the meeting, enjoy some hot chocolate, and hang out with your fellow Scouts! You only need to pay the $12 cost if you are planning to ride
In order to ride the toboggans, participants must be at least 42″ tall, and must be wearing gloves or mittens that cover the fingertips. You must be wearing the gloves/mittens, no exceptions! Also, please dress for the weather, meaning warm socks and footwear, a stocking cap, and layers.
The Chalet is located in Strongsville on Valley Parkway (16200 Valley Pkwy, Strongsville, OH 44136). Please meet us in the building in order to get your zipper tag to ride the toboggans.
