Our Chartered Organization, the Rotary Club Foundation of Strongsville, sponsors the Chili Open Golf Classic at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea each year in February. This is their biggest fundraiser of the year, and impacts all of the Rotary Club’s community service and sponsorship (including our troop!). The Rotary Club has again asked for our help to make this event a success.
The Chili Open will take place this year on Saturday, February 28, 2026. Signups are now available on TroopWebHost. The Rotary has asked for assistance with event setup and directing cars where to park. We are looking for about 15-20 volunteers to help between 8:00-11:30 AM. If you are only able to help for part of the morning, that is certainly fine. Please indicate in the comment field of your TroopWebHost signup the times you are planning to be there.
We will be outside the entire time, so please dress for the weather (warm clothing and footwear, hats and gloves, etc.). All volunteers will be provided with a warm lunch (hot dogs, hamburgers, wings, and of course, chili!) after they are done with their service!
