Troop 701 is proud to announce that three (3!) of our current and former adult leaders are being recognized this year for outstanding service to Scouting by Lake Erie Council. Mr. Evan Smith is an inaugural recipient of the Unit Scouter Award, which recognizes exemplary service at the unit (troop) level in the BSA. Mr. Scott Horan is being recognized with the Silver Beaver award, which recognizes Scouters of exceptional character who have provided distinguished service within a council. Mr. Wes Kent is being recognized with both the Unit Scouter Award and the Silver Beaver award this year. Congratulations to all three!
These awards will be presented at the 2020 Lake Erie Council Volunteer Recognition Dinner, being held at LaCentre Conference & Banquet Facility in Westlake on Saturday, March 7. Tickets are typically $30 per person, $50 per couple, and $225 per table of 10. We would love to organize several tables of Troop 701 parents and leaders to attend, support, and celebrate our award recipients. Please note that this event is for adults only. Please signup by this Thursday, January 23, so we can secure our tables with Lake Erie Council on Friday, January 24. We will combine our attendees to secure the lowest price for every member of our group (details on the Eventbrite site).
