Our next camp is Halloween Life on Mars Camp, scheduled for November 10th-12th, at the West Side Irish-American Club in Olmsted Township (8559 Jennings Road, Olmsted Twp 44138). This is a new camping location for our troop, so we’re looking forward to spending the weekend there! Plus, our youth leaders have planned out a bunch of unique and fun activities! The cost for camp is $25, and we are asking that you please sign up on TroopWebHost as soon as you can. Also, if you will be arriving to camp late or leaving early, please share those details in the comment field of your sign-up.
We will be meeting for camp at Chapman Elementary School at 6:45 PM on Friday, November 10th. We are expecting to return to Chapman around 10:30 AM on Sunday morning.
This is a tent camp, so please pack for a late-fall campout. The weather can be “interesting” this time of year, so remember to check the weather forecast, and pack accordingly. Multiple pairs of warm socks and gloves will be a must, as well as a stocking cap and boots. You do not need to wear or bring your Class A uniform. Some important gear items each scout needs to bring include:
-A ground tarp and pad-Any specific patrol gear/clothing-A headlamp or flashlight-Rain gear-Some garbage bags for any wet/muddy clothing or gear-Your white or green advancement book (in a ziploc bag)-A filled water bottle-Patrol Leaders should bring their patrol flag-Enthusiasm for a great camp!
