Last Thursday, Cuyahoga County was downgraded to Level 2 “Orange” status in the Ohio Public Health Advisory System. This means that we are able to resume in-person troop meetings and activities! We have therefore scheduled our first troop meeting of the year for this Tuesday, August 25th, from 7:00-8:30 PM. Please wear your Class A uniform (including BSA scout socks if you are wearing scout shorts).
While we are planning to use the outdoor facilities at St. John Neumann Church for the majority of our weekly troop meetings, we were recently informed that they will not be ready to host us until Tuesday, September 15th. As of Sunday evening, we are still in the process of arranging an alternate outdoor meeting location for this Tuesday’s meeting. Once we line up a place to meet, we will share that information via a TroopWebHost email, so please keep your eyes open for that sometime on Monday or Tuesday.
Since this meeting will be outdoors, scouts should keep their eyes on the weather forecast, and bring a rain jacket if there is a chance of rain. Also, everyone should please bring a water bottle (with their name on it) and a mask or face covering. When you arrive, we will check your temperature, and then you will go and meet with your patrol or staff group. Since we need to check everyone’s temperature before the meeting starts, if you are able to arrive a little bit before 7:00 PM, that would help us begin the meeting on time. Please read more about our in-person meeting protocols below.
We appreciate everyone’s help and patience during these last several weeks, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone in-person this Tuesday! If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
