Our next camp is Lost! Camp, scheduled for November 4th-6th, at Camp Tuscazoar, in Dover (6066 Boy Scout Road NE, Dover, OH 44622). It’s been six years since our troop has camped at Tuscazoar, so we are looking forward to heading back there. Plus, our youth leaders have planned out a bunch of unique and fun activities! The cost for camp is $25, and we are asking that you please sign up on TroopWebHost as soon as you can. Also, if you will be arriving to camp late or leaving early, please share those details in the comment field of your sign-up.
We will be meeting for camp at Chapman Elementary School at 6:45 PM on Friday, November 4th. We are expecting a return time to Chapman around 11:30 AM on Sunday, November 6th.
As per our Troop COVID Policy, we ask everyone to please perform some self-screening for illness before leaving for camp. If you are not feeling well, please stay home, so that you can get better!
This is a tent camp, so please pack for a late-fall campout. The weather can be “interesting” this time of year, so remember to check the weather forecast, and pack accordingly. Multiple pairs of warm socks and gloves will be a must, as well as a stocking cap and boots. You do not need to wear or bring your Class A uniform. Some important gear items each scout needs to bring include:
-A tent for our staff Scouts (patrol Scouts will be using troop tents)
-A few masks/face coverings.
-Any specific patrol gear/clothing
-A ground tarp and pad
-A headlamp or flashlight
-Rain gear
-Some garbage bags for any wet/muddy clothing or gear
-Your white or green advancement book (in a ziploc bag)
-A filled water bottle
-Patrol Leaders should bring their patrol flag
-Enthusiasm for a great camp!
