This month Troop 701 will be backpacking! We will divide into crews based upon skill level. Since scouts bring their own food to backpacking camp, the cost is only $10.
The troop will begin sharing information that will help scouts and families prepare for a successful backpacking camp.
For 1st and 2nd year scouts heading to Mohican Trek, an information meeting is scheduled for next Tuesday October 18th at 6PM in the Chapman gym.
One important item of gear we can mention now is the need for youth backpacks. If you have one, please lend it to the troop. If you need one, the troop has a limited amount of backpacks available to loan. If you are able to buy or borrow a youth backpack, please do so as we only have a limited amount to lend. We will begin accepting requests for borrowing youth backpacks at the information meeting next week.
