Pancake Breakfast Baskets!

Ron and Lee Jackson are once again coordinating the raffle baskets for the pancake breakfast this year. They’re asking each patrol to pick a theme and collect the basket items. Adult leaders and parents are also invited to assemble a basket (at our last pancake breakfast, the troop had 14 baskets to raffle off.) These baskets really help raise money for the troop, so let’s get creative!

Patrols have already signed up for a basket theme, so patrol Scouts should check with their Patrol Leader if they need to know the theme of their basket. We would like our Staff scouts to sign up for a couple of baskets as well. The total value of each basket should be around $30. Patrol members donate the items for the baskets and bring them in to our troop meetings on February 21st and 28th. Patrols or patrol parents are welcome to assemble the baskets themselves or just provide the items and the Jackson’s will provide a basket and assemble them for you.

Besides the patrol baskets, we are in need of additional baskets. Some popular themes include: Scouting/outdoors; car care; gardening; movie night; lottery; arts & crafts; spa day; sports; food themes; beauty; table top gaming; book club starter kit; wine; pets; chocolate; cheese; caffeine; baking; small fish tank (no live animals, get a gift certificate); etc.

We’ve also done assorted Scout Popcorn or other scout sales baskets. Adult Leaders and parents have also donated individual baskets related to their independent sales businesses (e.g., organic cleaning supplies, Avon, etc.). If you have a connection to a local business that might want to help us with this fundraising effort, please ask them for an in-kind donation that can be used in a basket, and let Mrs. Jackson know about the donation. We will be pleased to advertise their business on the morning of the pancake breakfast.

If you have any questions, please text Lee Jackson.

Thank you for your help creating these baskets and moving the bus to summer camp!
