Snow Sports Merit Badge Opportunity

Brunswick Youth Winter Sports Club, a private group on Facebook, runs a ski club group that meets at Brandywine Ski Resort on Fridays in January and February. This is a “family run” group, meaning you register on your own, and provide your own transportation. Mike Fallon is the administrator of the ski club and a Snow Sports merit badge counselor, along with being a BSA troop dad with Troop 513 in Brunswick. He works alongside his wife Robin who skis and is another YPT trained adult.

Interested Scouts and their families can join the Facebook group for more information on how to participate. Scouts can get an Epic Pass, which has various selections of number of days, unlimited, etc. Slope Days are used for this ski club, with a code needed for the group under special conditions at time of registering. Lots more helpful registration information is available on the Facebook group, and Danielle Blake is happy to help invite folks on Facebook as well.

For the merit badge, Scouts will need to provide a merit badge blue card (which can be obtained from our Advancement Chair Mr. Jorge Robinson), along with the Snow Sports merit badge worksheet packet.
